OLED lighting systems: the ODALINE project

ODALINE = OLED Devices Application in Luminaires for Interior and Exterior lighting 

A 2.5 years research project has been carried out on the topic of OLED lighting systems.

The research projects has the following goals:

• development of appropriate tools and of a protocol to measure the photometric properties of OLEDs
• performance characterization of latest existing OLEDs
• identification of scenarios and application fields for OLED-based lighting systems
• definition of the concept of a new OLED lighting system for non-residential applications
• achievement of a prototype of the new luminaire
• performance characterization of the new luminaire
• assessment of the lighting performance of the luminaire in real rooms (objective and subjective)
• analysis of the production and marketing costs
