Building performance simulation

Dynamic energy simulation is a key instrument for the evaluation of design solutions and for the assessment of the energy savings in buildings. TEBE research group has a continuous working unit on the dynamic building energy simulation that assists master students in the elaboration of their thesis works and promotes the use of dynamic building energy simulation in the design, audit and retrofitting of existing buildings. These competences are required when developing a number of different research lines, namely cost optimal analysis, ZEB studies, calibrated simulation, multi-energy systems and integrated energy systems.

Furthermore, the dynamic simulation is often used as a tool for the analysis and the validation of the simplified calculation model by Standards.
